When logged on as an administrator, go the blog modules admin settings and select "Edit Blog Settings".

On the settings page you will see "MetaWeblog Options".

Copy the URL (website address).

Go to Word and select "Publish" > "Blog"

From the drop down select "Other"

From the API drop down select "MetaWeblog"

Enter the URL (website address you copied in step 2, in the "Blog Post URL" field.

Enter your website admin login username and password in the "account information" fields.

Open Word, create a document then from the drop down where you would normally save the document, select "Publish" > "Blog".

You will be presented with another layout screen where you can make tweaks and will be prompted at the top of the screen to give the posting a title, then click on the "Publish" button. All Done!

NOTE: We have noticed that on publishing we get an error box from Word but when we look at the Blog in our site, all seems to be fine.

The other thing to note is that the Blog uses the content in the summary, which can make your main blog page very heavy going, so its worthwhile to go in and manually add a summary.
